One of the easiest ways to find a profitable online niche is to just look around you.  Walk through your home with a pad and paper writing down what you see and looking for affiliate offers tied to what you find and develop web properties around it.  I found a niche in the mail!

Yep that is right a low competition high profit niche in my mail box!  That is what I call golden.  No I am not going to tell you what the niche is you have to find your own niches.  It is outside of the make money online niche and it is something you will never see in a traffic exchange but millions of searches are done monthly for less than 100 different long tail combinations with no real competition.  To me that is an internet marketers dream.

Unlike the make make money niche where everybody is trying to sell each other the same rehashed crap and program signups over and over, discovering your own niche and capitalizing on it is the quickest way to get into the black when you just starting your online money making venture.  I am a firm believer that I could spend one hour helping someone find a niche and setting them on the path to making money online for less than an initial start up cost of $10 and it does not require the use of traffic exchanges or list building.

But hey what do I know. I support my family from online properties that I create and dominating search engines.  Has anyone googled Downline Integrity or Downline Integrity Brigade lately?

It is not rocket science.

Requirements:

• An Adsense Account
• Keyword Research
• Domains Supporting Keyword(s)
• Hosting Account
• Know how to create WordPress blogs or have them installed for you.
• Proper Plugins Installed on your blogs see above^^^^
• Create five post around keywords.
• Optimize AdSense Placement
• Submit Site to 100 Directories
• Book Mark the Shit out of your new site.
• Feed in from other free resources and create Squidoo Lenses and Hubpages to RSS your content into.

Then after you have your first one up.

• Wash, Rinse, Repeat until you have a minimum of 5 blogs going.
• Use a smart cross linking Strategy.
• Pump Content into the blog Network – 5 post a day 5 days a week.

After you are making some money with it

• Keep adding new sites into the network
• Start outsourcing content creation and site submissions
• Hire someone to do social bookmarking.
• Look for complementary affiliate offers and start capturing leads.
• Work your mailing list.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat!!!
Each site will need its own Hosting Account. A reseller account would be ok to get started but not optimal. You will need about $100 to get started. This will not work on freebie stuff like blogger, livejournal or wordpress.com. If you go that route you are a moron and are not serious about making money.

If you don’t have the money to get your own online empire going cut your Internet Service out until you can afford to do it, go hock something or have a yard sale.  If you don’t have $100 to get started get a job or contact me I could use a slave. errr Part-time Assistant and would help you get started for performing some online task for me in exchange for my knowledge.

It never ceases to amaze me when I scan subject lines from safelist and “solo ads” from traffic exchanges to hear about all the money people are making and wanting to tell you how they did it. Most people advertising this crap don’t even have their own website much less made $5,000 in 8 days. Here are some of the subject lines I found amusing:

• “How grandma made 5k in 8 days”
• “Here is your no cost business building system__”
• “—>>Over 26k in 14days…”
• “Learn How I made 1800 in 4 Hours”

When I see headlines like this it just makes me laugh. The sad part about it though is people buy into this crap and waste time and money trying to “duplicate” something that probably never happened.

The make money niche in online marketing is a tough niche for people to ever get off the ground much less make money in. Sure there are people who make money in this niche and new people enter it every day. That is the life blood of the niche new Sheeples, but when Sheeple try to sell products with claims like you see above they loose all credibility before ever getting out of the gate. Then they wonder why they are not making any money.

If you are insistent on trying to make money in the Make Money Niche when you have not experienced any true success yet, here are a few ideas to try:

• Develop your own product or service. Would you open a coffee shop located between a Starbucks and McDonald’s? Probably not. It does not make any sense, unless you had truly great coffee at a very competitive price. So instead of trying to sell the same product everyone else in the niche is, create your own. Create a product or service that is unique that may help others in the niche. Think of this. Who made the most money during the “Gold Rush”? Was it the miners? No, it was the people selling them shovels and pans!
• Become a protege’. Find someone in the niche that could use the benefit of an assistant. Find someone that is already successful and offer your services in exchange for their knowledge or money. Do you think the Guru’s want to do repetitive task like submitting ads to safelist or Yahoo Groups? Offer to do this for someone that is already making money to learn their marketing style and techniques. Chances are you will make a friend for life and gain priceless knowledge to help you with your efforts.
• Start a blog documenting your ups and down in your quest to make money in the niche. Give reviews of products and services that you use positive and negative. In this blog also document your successes and failures and give real result figures and tips. Then promote your blog! This blog averages 3 Hosting Sales a week. Not enough to retire but it is some nice income that I can use for other purposes outside of the make money niche!!
• Look for another niche that you are passionate about and use it as your primary money maker then write an ebook on how to make money in that niche. Then after you make money on your ebook write another one on how you made money from it. You can use this as a list building tool by giving it away to build your list.

Even though the Make Money Niche is highly competitive you can still make money from it if you can separate yourself from the sheeples, stop looking for the magic button and think outside of the box!

Stats, Heat Map, Search Volume, EPM, EPC and the list goes on. How many times a day do you find yourself checking these things?

It can be a never ending cycle and it results in a zero income producing activity if you find yourself constantly checking stats. Don’t get me wrong stats are very important and should be monitored, but how often? Today I found a nice surprise as I was cruising through my affiliate networks and it got me stuck on checking stats for well over 3 hours today instead of creating content for my network and starting on two new projects and completely ignoring a consulting project! So now I must play catch up until the wee hours.

The reason I do this is for the money and keeping live updated content in my networks is crucial in keeping SERP rankings in my niches. So spending three hours running through stats just to pat myself on the back was a meaningless activity that produced no income or one step closer to completing a project.

What am I going to do to correct this problem? Schedule stat checking time and stick to it!! That is the only answer I can think of. I have daily goals and plans and will now just incorporate stat checking into the plan instead of the random click over. If you have ever had this problem I would love to hear about it and what you did to get around it!!

Making money on the Internet is not a difficult task. Many people find online marketing through different programs, most a derivative of Multi Level Marketing combined with a membersite. There are a few people who make a lot of money by owning membersites. Currently I am in the process of creating a membersite as well with an affiliate program.

This is a huge undertaking and will require many hours of hard work and promotion. It will be geared to teaching people how to use blogs to monetize their time online or get the word out about a specific topic, without all of the slam bam hard marketing you see in the typical membersite format.

I am personally torn in this decision to create a membersite, as I generally don’t like the business model of membersites. I am not talking about the model from the site owners perspective, but the model for the end user. Most membersites are geared towards building a list for the site owner on the backs of the members and utilizing that list for their marketing agenda.

As an online affiliate I earn well over $5000 per month with blogging platforms and have seen word of mouth spread the news very virally. The new membersite will be geared to helping people create blogs that they own and monetize and reap all of the rewards and not share their work or readership with me unless they choose to through the affiliate program. One of the biggest downfalls of membersites I have seen is that people buy in to a program that encourages them to recruit others and build the list of the program owner without receiving real personal benefit unless they recruit others like a mad man.

My goal with the new site will be to teach others how to create their own blogs to utilize for niche affiliate marketing or spreading the word about a passionate subject for the user. If they choose to bring others into the training that is their choice and they will be compensated for their efforts, but the emphasis will be on educating the user and teaching them to think outside of the box and do their own thing versus following the heard into the latest greatest pre-launch product.

Consistent work on personal online properties is the true key to success to making money online. If you own it then nobody can take it away from you. Making money online without owning a website is akin to walking across the desert without shoes. It can be done but it is difficult and painful and when it is all said and done you wonder why you even tried. There is nothing wrong with promoting other peoples products but your first goal should be in promoting yourself, your website and your list. Once that becomes your first goal the money you can earn becomes unlimited and you can truly call yourself a successful online marketer.
